happy birthday Pat stay gone but never forgotten
Today is Pat Stay’s birthday. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about him and the impact he’s had on not just me individually but also on SO MANY people all around the WORLD!
He was bigger than I think even he realized. From Eminem pouring his heart out publicly about how much he meant to him and battle rap in general, to WWE shouting him out on tv, to the handful of celebrities that acknowledged him and paid their respects! He was a Top 1 human being all around and he really was larger than LIFE!
I was never super close with him to the point we hung out or anything but he always pushed me and took the time to give me advice throughout the years and he never sugar coated anything which is exactly how it should be.
He always acknowledged my work ethic and determination in battling as well as my consistency with battling all over the country for as long as I have been. He also never hesitated to tell me if I was making a wrong move or making any mistake at all and I’ve learned from every single thing he’s told me.
Nowadays I’m better than I’ve ever been and I have lots of opportunities waiting for me to capitalize on and I credit Pat for a lot of my progression and improvement over the years because he always believed in me. I think about the conversations I’ve had with him every single time before I make any decision in battle rap, and I’m extremely blessed to know he cared enough to put any time into me at all.
It’s amazing to think about how much he did for battle rap but it’s even more amazing to see how much he’s STILL DOING for the scene even now!
It looks like King Of The Dot Entertainment will finally be making their way to Scotia for an event! This has been a LONG time coming and I’m really excited to see what Ganik Fleetwood, Gully Kotd, and the rest of the squad does with this and I know Pat will be proud too! 🙏🏻
Also, please send some positive vibes out to his family today! ❤️👊🏻
Rest In POWER to an absolute LEGEND!
