family and loyalty the same or different

Some people have different understanding of thinks when it comes to family and loyalty, see cause for some they said it's the same thing and others, say it's not and here are some reasons why. 

1) you can be my family and be loyal 

2) family can be the ones that hurt you more then others and show loyalty is never there.

3) loyalty has to be earned even if your family.

4) Blood is thicker then water but blood would be the first one to turn there backs on you.

Now I do understand where both side come from cause it's both ways me, but you have to earn your loyalty in to me if your my family cause at the end of the day family is not always there when you need them most only when it works for them
