moment to celebrate the first Alaska Native

Since people are talking so much about the WNBA- can we take a moment to celebrate the first Alaska Native woman to get drafted??

Alissa Pili is Samoan and Inupiaq and from Anchorage, Alaska. She played basketball for my old high school, Dimond High, and led them to two state championships.

She was drafted to the Minnesota Lynx.
