Remembering Melissa Dawn R.I.P lil sister

Melissa Dawn Peacock

DOB: April 16, 1991 

Peacock left her home in Dartmouth at about 7:30 p.m. on November 7, 2011. She told her mother she loved her and said she wouldn't be gone long. 

Peacock later began sending puzzling text messages, saying she would spend the night in the country, though she didn't want to be there. 

Police tracked her cellphone, found she had been in a car headed north on Highway 354 after midnight. 

Peacock's remains were found at a property in Upper Stewiacke on July 3, 2012. 8 months later!

Dustan Preeper drove them to an isolated area and they all got out of the car. Dustan Preeper then stabbed Melissa in the chest. Joshua dragged her into the woods. She was breathing heavily when Dustan poured gas on her and Joshua set her on fire. The brothers then left and returned later to retrieve her and bury her in Colchester County. 

They were both charged with first-degree murder but Joshua pled down to second-degree murder.
